Gary Reed is best known as the publisher of Caliber Comics, an independent publisher which released over
1,400 comics in 12 years. Gary owned and operated a chain of comic stores in the Detroit area for nearly 20 years and he also served as Executive Vice President for the first three years of McFarlane Toys.
As a writer, Gary created and wrote acclaimed series such as Saint Germaine, Baker Street, Renfield, and many others.
His recent projects include two graphic novels for Penguin Books, a
young adult novel from Actionopolis, collections of Red Diaries and
Renfield in addition to his ongoing Deadworld series.
For Desperado, Gary
has assumed a management role and writes Deadworld, Saint Germaine,
Red Diaries, Renfield, and more comics and books to be announced.
Gary spends most of his time utilizing his Masters’ degree and teaching college classes in Biology and Environmental Science.
He lives near Ann
Arbor, Michigan with his wife and daughters.
